Accent is an educational tool.
Education is a tool to end extreme poverty.

We invest in women...

because women make up two-thirds of illiterate adults in every region globally.

When mothers can read...

children are more likely to attend school and household poverty is reduced.

What does Accent do?

Accent is a flexible browser-based learning platform that meets the needs of communities in remote and extreme environments. Here are some of the things that make Accent unique.

  • Accent works with or without an active internet connection. It can be installed on a local network or even a single computer and synchronize content and reports when online.
  • It has a unique design that targets adult learners and individuals with limited technology experience.
  • It is language agnostic and designed to facilitate learning that crosses language barriers.

Who is Accent for?

Our first course simultaneously teaches language and literacy to women, and we’re expanding to other members of the Chulac community in remote Guatemala. But we’re just getting started!

  • Accent is for communities and organizations. It can be used to create and deploy all kinds of digital learning in the most remote or extreme environments.
  • Accent is for content creators and educators. It includes a content editor so that experts can easily create custom courses and lessons.
  • Look for Accent to grow as more courses are added, as well as more communities and countries.
